Elland developer to cut the cash with new deal
The Elland-based company has partnered with Brighouse-based card payment specialist, Yorkshire Payments, to introduce card and telephone payment facilities at the storage site at Luddenden Foot in Halifax.

Hide AdKaren Donnelly, financial controller at Marshall Holdings Limited, said the investment was part of a strategic move to go cashless at the firm’s newest company.
“As part of a strategic move to make transactions more secure for both the customer and ourselves, all new contracts with Calder Valley Storage now state the company no longer accepts cash as means of payment," she said
“As a business, we are responding to the move towards an increasingly cashless society, while streamlining our own payment procedures at the same time and trialling a solution which may eventually see us become cashless across the entire Marshall group of companies.”

Hide AdBusinesses in Yorkshire processed more than £470million through Yorkshire Payments systems between March 2017 and March this year.
James Howard, managing director at Yorkshire Payments, said: “Marshalls’ move to go cashless at Calder Valley storage is reflective of the growing number of businesses choosing to eliminate cash altogether in a bid to streamline transactions, save time and even create safer working environments by not holding large quantities of money on the premises.”
Founded in 2013 by Mr Howard, the company provides payment solutions to leading Yorkshire-based brands including global online travel company, icelolly.com, baked goods supplier Lottie Shaw’s and Snickers Workwear.
