Head teacher Mungo Sheppard said the incident is terribly sad news and it has had a knock on effect for children and parents.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called at 10.27pm on Monday by the fire service to report of a gazebo being deliberately set on fire in the grounds of a school on Mixenden Road.

"Enquiries remain ongoing.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 1806 of 19/11."
