French flag flown at half mast in Halifax in tribute to victims of Nice terror attack
The french flag is currently flying half mast over Halifax Town Hall in memory of the 84 people killed when a lorry ploughed through crowds celebrating Bastille Day.
Councillor Tim Swift, leader of Calderdale Council, said: “This morning once again we find ourselves flying the flag at half mast over Halifax Town Hall.

He added that he had sent the following message out to all councillors this morning.
“This morning we wake to the news that another hate-filled individual has killed dozens of innocent people, this time celebrating the Bastille Day national holiday in Nice.
“We don’t yet know whether they acted alone, or as part of a group, nor what excuse they will give for their evil actions, so we should not speculate on that.
