Jools Holland television spot for Todmorden musician
Todmorden musician James Green plays bass and sings backing vocals for the band masterminded by drummer/lead vocalist Tarek Musa, which signed to Island, now part of the international Universal music group and historically home to legends including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Free, Roxy Music, Traffic, The Slits and U2, in December.
James, a former student at North Halifax Grammar School and previously drummer in Calderdale band Frontier Psychiatrists, and the other band members will fly back this weekend from a concert in Spain for rehearsals on Monday before Tuesday’s show on the country’s premier television rock music showcase.

Hide AdIt is likely they will perform their major label debut single The Summer, which has also been heavily featured on Radio One’s playlist.
Spring King - the other members are guitarists Pete Darlington and Andrew Morton - release their debut album for Island, Tell Me If You Like To, on June 10 following their first headlining UK tour which starts on May 11 the day after the Later performance, which will also be repeated next Friday, May 13 (BBC2, 11.30pm).
So far the band have an amazing year, set to continue with a first live date in Australia and upcoming concert appearances at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.
As a young rock fan, James watched Bloc Party in concert - and is now set to appear on the live show alongside them.
